How we choose, research, write, check and update every Acronivo guide.
Our mission
Acronivo gives clear, accurate answers to one question: what does it stand for? Every guide should give you the full form in the first line and then explain where it came from and how people use it.
How we choose topics
We cover acronyms people actually search for, across everyday life, technology, business, cars and transport, and sports and gaming. Reader suggestions sent to hello@acronivo.com also shape what we write next.
Research and sources
We confirm full forms with the most authoritative source available: the organisation, standards body or company that uses the term, official documentation, government sites and established dictionaries. We do not rely on other glossary sites as a primary source.
How we write
- Answer first, in plain English.
- Explain origin and real-world use with examples.
- Point out other common meanings and mix-ups.
- Keep each guide short enough to read in a few minutes.
Use of software and AI tools
We may use software, including AI writing and research tools, to help draft outlines, check grammar or find sources. Every guide is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a person before it is published, and a person is responsible for what we publish.
Updates
Meanings change — companies rebrand and new technologies appear. We review popular guides regularly and show the date each guide was last updated.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email hello@acronivo.com with the page link and what needs fixing. We check every report and correct confirmed errors promptly, updating the guide’s date.
Independence from advertising
Advertisers do not influence what we write or how we explain a term. Ads are served automatically by third parties and are kept separate from our editorial content.
